Lets hope its a good attendance

Lets hope so Lynda, but I think the " I told you they were rubbish" brigade and the PR knockers will use it as an excuse not to bother. We really need a good score, a ruthless performance and a loud North stand (with a bit of help from the west) to put us back on track.

Lets hope ALL our home fixtures are good attendances!!



We started with a solid 1800plus for the first game - and as this is gonna be the minimum benchmark this season, lets hope last Sunday's 2nd half 'brain fart' does not put off anyone new we attracted to the Barrow match....or indeed any 'BOB's we were hoping to entice!



I'm confident - based on the evidence of the four performances prior to last Sunday - that this was little more than a blip, and we'll be back to winning ways this week. Two wins should see us safely out of the group, then concentrate on the league for a few weeks, before planning our assault on Wembley!!

The half empty view is we haven't beaten a championship side in competitive rugby yet.

Sundays are hit and miss for me due to family commitments and I won't be going to this one. Due to the team we are playing, it being a Sunday and the NRC, I think the att will be around the 1600 mark.

Wasn't it said we need 2,000 per game to break even ?



I presume this will be the average from the seasons games as we've no chance of 2,000 v Hunslet in the current climate.

Whilst I'm looking forward to the game (not least because it will be the last home game I see for some time !) I'm afraid the harsh realitys of financial life will hit clubs like ours this season, thats why the club is working twice as hard to get people in, we need everyone to back the club regardless of on field results this season.



It is hard for clubs though, the the news that Salford need 8,000 per game to break even makes me a little more pleased that those running our club are being more realistic with what to expect than maybe the guys at Salford are.

Thursdays and Fridays a bit of a wash out for me - at my advancing years night driving does not feature high on my list of priorities, so that means at least two of us are out and probably a couple more who travel from Clitheroe with me occasionally. (Saints fans)

1,800 average is the break even. 2,000 average will go some way towards paying our debts off.

A home draw in the CC against Widnes in the SL freebie round and then another home one against Wire in the next round would be good. That should boost the average.



After that I'm not to bothered but I wouldn't mind us playing the semi at Langtree Park.

Looking forward to Sunday , don't think the lads will need much encouragement to be fired up for this one , am sure they have been told and they know themselves that last Sunday not only did they let themselves down but also they let the fans that travelled to Sheffield down . I wasn't in that number last week , but am hoping to see the same high spirited Leigh team that have been unbeaten apart from last weeks blip .
