Buying an £8 case of warm beers from the Lidl off wembley way and drinking as many as possible before stumbling into the ground in time for 'Abide with me!'

Wake up and get out of the same side of the bed as I did in 09 & 10



Eat breakfast with the same bowl and spoon as I did in 09 & 10



Leave house on the left foot as I did in 09 & 10



Ensure that I take the same amount of steps as I did in 09 & 10



Sit in the same carriage and same number seat as I did in 09 & 10



Drink at the same bar with the same glass holding it in the same hand as I did in 09 & 10



Watch the game with the same eyes as I did in 09 & 10



Apart from that....no not really got any rituals to speak of!!

Since before we got beat against Wigan in 1989(?) the only Warrington Challenge Cup games I've missed have been the quarter-finals in 2009, 2010 and this year.

Will be digging my "Captain Fantastic" Mike Gregory T shirt out to wear.

I'll probably have a dump on the morning of the game out of the same ar*ehole as I did in 2009 and 2010 if that makes any difference.

something i do before i go on holiday or wembley..have a few the night before,wake up early do a few bacon egg sausage butties a few glasses of beer maybe a whisky,taxi to wilderspool for the coach,board the coach and open up a few tins,at wembley have a wonder around the stadium with my youngest son,enter stadium see whos playing then have several bets on 1st try scorer then enjoy game.....BLISS

Just like any other game day,make sure i have my lucky wire socks on.

I have to do 24 laps of the stadium beforehand, otherwise we'll lose.

I have to wake up in the morning.

On the two occasions that I overslept, I never got to see the game. So waking up is my lucky charm.

I suspect I will maintain the following traditions:



- Stay in the pub (at the opposite end of London) too long, look at my watch and genuinely fear that I might miss kick-off.

- Get off at the wrong tube stop and end up at the crap end (not Wembley Way side) of Wembley

- Actually turn up in reasonable enough time, at least early enough to see a bit of the warm-up.



I hope to maintain the following traditions:

- See Wire win at Wembley

- See Wire stuff Leeds at Wembley

Always do the trip in 1 day, always stop at Newport Pagnell on the M1 on the way down and leave the services listening to Bon Jovi - Keep the Faith. COME ON THE WIRE!!
