If he rips it up for a year in order to get a contract in the NRL, that's fine by me.

Wow. The frustrating thing is that in the Academy teams they emphasize very heavily the signing of players who want to play for the club. Seems the first team is a depository for reluctant talent.

Sounds to me like Dodds has mentioned he doesn't really want to leave Brisbane and the press have inflated it to 'he regrets signing for Warrington blah blah blah'. The same sort of misinformation they spouted after Sandow's debut for us when WE were apparently slating him when in fact it was just a bit of banter from the Leeds fans.

Sounds to me that when he signed for Warrington he didn't expect to have the opportunity to stay at Brisbane or in the NRL. After the signing was announced he's apparently been a key man in their good run and had a good injury-free run of games, which has presumably elevated his self confidence and he now feels he's missed a genuine chance to be a regular starting prop for them. Question now is whether he'll just get his head down and try to earn a return ticket to the NRL during his Wire stint, or whether he'll feel sorry for himself and request a release.

If that is the case ,do we really want players at the club whose heart & head are elsewhere ? Better to cancel the contract & save on the air fare.

It seems we have some pretty shoddy groundwork being done regarding future signings.

All he's really said is he's gutted to leave the club he's played at his whole life, and will miss all his mates etc. So how's that suddenly turned in too he regrets signing for us?
