I think our main rivals obviously have to be Widnes, due to sharing the same county boundaries (dependant on how people look at it!).
A lot of people have been saying Wigan, but to be honest, I feel that they are not our main rivals, but we are Wigan's main rivals, due to the bizarre hatred that their fans seem to have for us.
Due to the hoodoo that Saints have over us, I consider them rivals due to the passion that Wire fans have for wanting to see us get that elusive win at KR. The first fixture I look for in the SL season is always our games against Saints, then it's the games against Wigan.

Ever since I started watching Wire in `81 it was always Wigan. They are the ones I like wiping the smiles off faces the most. We also used to have a `big` pre season `friendly` against them for years and years. Yes Saints is closer and Widnes closer still by 1 mile (town centre) but Warrington is full of people from the latter 2, whether it be through work or re-locating, which means plenty of people from Warrington, Widnes and St Helens know each other. I might not be on my own but I don`t know many people from Wigan and won`t lose any sleep over it, and I know they feel the same. There seems to be a hatred between us.

Super League rivals have got to be Wigan. I Always look forward to both home and away games!!!!

We don't hate you.... We just get annoyed by the prats who spout rubbish.... We have two rivals... Stains and Leigh... Everybody else is just there to make up the numbers. |
