My accent is still in the vague middle ground where I sound both kind-of and kind-of-not Yorkshire. I've been here 8 years but I don't want to give up the accent, and I'm reliably informed I get much less Yorkshire when watching the rugby!



As for this Saturday, has a part of the Wire end been assigned for us apparent glory hunters who haven't been to every game? I've already booked my seat so I might be in the wrong place.

I'll be driving up from Devon on Saturday morning, picking the old man up from the wood and getting to HJ in plenty of time for the coach to Old Trafford then driving back on Sunday morning (hopefully will a big smile from a sweet victory and a double).



I do remember as a kid finding out that Warrington had done the double in 1954 and wondering what it was like to know that your team was without question the best there was that season. I thought we were last season but the record books don't show it. Here's hoping we get the record books to show what we want this year!

i would also like some clarification on the rules.... I am getting married in november and going on honeymoon to New York in december......As a result i have had to prioritise money... Going the match has had to take a back seat.. I even missed wembley this year... But i have my tickets for the grand final.

As I'm now "exiled" all the way in Heald Green though it will either be train from there or bus from Wythenshawe to town then tram to Exchange Quay. How inconvenient.

TPE for me coming over Saturday afternoon couple of scoops in Manchester, game then a few more and back on the train with hopefully hundreds of very sad Leeds fans.

I'm coming up from Northants on Saturday by car bringing with me two southern 'glory hunters' whose only games in the last twelve months have been the Challenge Cup Final and the four nations double header at Wembley last year. The only rule re 'glory hunters' should be: the more the merrier.

Watching it in Orlando Florida <where I have lived for past 12 years> and absolutely gutted I cant be there.Will be cheering them on with beer in hand tho!

im still contemplating it....i will be on standby on the last flight back from newark, but will probably have to fly to heathrow then get the train. its about 3500 miles too, so up there with big ask. i have a feeling it may just not be possible, but will see. at least it is on live on fox, so i will be watching it whatever. will be chocked if i don't get back for it, but i knew it was a possibility when i moved out here

To be honest, though, if Wire win, I'd be wanting to celebrate, which precludes driving either Sat night or Sun morning. Not having had a 'true fan' badge since about 1991, I'll have to hand in my 'true glory hunter' one now as well

All this true fan bit is absolute rubbish. True fans are those who support their club whenever they can through thick and thin. It's a case of once a Wire, always a Wire. Most of these 'true fan' idiots were probably at the infamous sit-in to try to get rid of Cull.
