Brisbane Broncos are doing pretty well and Dodds has played 17 games ,spell out with cartilage problem ,so seems like a top player to me , I take it wire have given medical and are satisfied, we wanted a hard hitting prop we've got one , be happy

Fair enough cap, it just annoys me that it does seem like he's a panic buy prop because there's no one else about. Seems like poor planning from our club. I've watched him for awhile and his attack is about on par with Asotasi, his defence is solid but lacks attack. Would have liked to see an impact prop like Akuma drive us forward but Dodds could be a bargain if his knee holds up fingers crossed.

What do you base the "panic buy" assessment on?

It's panic buy because if we had been tracking him as a target (which I doubt) why would we only give him 1 year. He only recently got told he can look elsewhere and now the Akuma signing is over we suddenly sign Dodds. There's been loads of props available and we haven't signed one. UNLESS we do have a prop signed who we won't announce until the end of the season, and Dodds becoming free is just a bargain chance buy maybe. It just looks like we've gone crap we've left it really late and there's hardly anyone left, who the best of who's left. It could be a case of Westwood or Harrison are the direct replacement for Asotasi and we've signed Dodds as just an extra forward and we never had ideas on signing a prop, who knows.
