Is there any possibility that with the situation now verging on the ridiculous, that the RFL will move the game?



I know it would be short notice to say the very least, but I don't see the real harm in pushing the back to the Monday/Tuesday evening. Gate receipts would in all likelihood take a hit, but the extra day or so's rest would allow some of the participants in the game to play, and we'd still have a good rest ahead of Hull KR.

We've started flogging tickets for this game (promos as well), so it looks like it's going ahead as planned

Regarding the number of players per club - the only thing that has been confirmed is that the Exiles won't use more than 3 players from one club. But, Eddie Hemmings said on Boots N all a couple of weeks ago that he'd heard suggestion that there may be an agreement between the two sides not to use more than 4 players per club between them, i.e 3 on the Exiles then 1 for England, or 2 on each, or 1 England and 3 in Exiles. That would be sensible and much fairer.



It can't be right that we face the prospect of 9 of our players featuring in this game and none from Salford. It's all very well saying we should be strong enough to beat them but we've already shown a few times this season that we are capable of underpar performance (i.e. Hull and Catalans) without being handicapped in this way.

Good point about Riley - even before the injuries, you'd have thought he'd have been a certainty for the Salford game.

The injury to Rhys Evans is a blow and obviously he was 100% when the months loan for Riles was agreed. I'm sure I heard that there is an agreement between all the clubs concerned and Red Hall that there would be a limit on the amount of players used from any one club. We might have 9 selected for the two squads but I wouldn't expect any more than 5 would actually play. Either way some of our players involved at Headingley will feature against Salford.

Worst case scenario (i.e. Higham two match ban, McCarthy and Mitchell not available, I'll go with Louis not getting into Exiles), but assuming no more injuries, I can barely get a team together....

All I can say is ISWT. Doesn't look good on the face of it but I bet Tony's not worried.

I'm sure he'll see it as an opportunity. And part of the squad's learning.

This game should be played at the start or end of season if at all. With so many players from our club, and competitive nature of this game, i

really fear for the well being of our players and feel it's entertainment at our expense. They should at least limit the number of england players

to 3 like the exiles.This game would have been great during the era of wigan or saints' dominance but not now. I really don't care for the result,

just that all our players remain fit.

That looks worrying if this was the real squad we had going out.
