On topic, I know its a generational thing but I just don't associate white whirts with warrington at all. I was brought in to watching Wire in the late 80s and primarily most shirts were primrose and blue stripes or hoops or variations of that theme (greeballs sponsor are the first I remember really) and they're the kits I like. The away kits being white and green and even red and green. I see a white shirt with a V and I just think saints, I've never bought a white one and don't think I would. I can handle them as away kits and to be fair idid quite like the one from 95ish? With the wolf in the background and 3 minor hoops around the sponsor. The away kit being white and green is my favourite ever wire kit.



I guess those that associate with white kits are from earlier wire teams than I have ever watched.

Our most successful periods have come where Wire had a good proportion of white in the kit.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see the iconic all blue and primrose W of the 70s as a heritage shirt.

During our successful middle 50s era it was mainly white with irregular chest stripes but there was the early 50s pnb hoops.

I know the 88 ww3 game against Wigan was White but I must have been the season after that and certainly early 90s that I started following really. It just doesn't feel like warrington to me if we are in a white kit, I'm sure there are people who feel similar and others who feel we play in white with pnb hoops or chevrons etc. I suppose it depends on what it was when you started.

Almost all the 80s were white.

Success has nothing to do with colours

I didn't say it did so you edited nothing but added to it.

Your post indicated that our successes came when we had a predominantly white kit. I edited that to having decent players in a kit, as THIS is the underlying factor to success, not colours.
