| 2 games in and already people are expecting miracles. Atkins has looked sharp and is not afraid to get stuck in. Played 2 won 2 - No errors from Atkins and already people want a world beater. No pleasing some people.

| Quote Brucey="Brucey"Sorry chaps but i was expecting a little bit more from a signing made for some considerable cash.
Myler has given a very good account of himself already so whats up with Ryan doing the same?
Im sure he will get better but i would have liked to see more from him to be honest...solid but unspectacular springs to mind.'"
Myler is a half back and as such has far more involvement than a centre so should stand out more. This is a team game and just as we don't expect our props to play like half-backs we shouldn't expect our centres to either. In fact I would be extremely worried if he was running around like Myler - it would mean that he was constantly out of position and not doing his job!

| i wasn't the biggest fan of us signing atkins. so far he has done nothing wrong though, and smith sems to think thathe will make a better impact than king at , which is saying something. no,he's not yet set the world on fire, but he has more than done enough to justify his spot, and he does look like he will be a good, solid signing. Dodgy hair do though.....

| From my POV (on seeing the cas game) Atkins made considerable yards when you were near your own try-line perhaps more than your others in your back line. He hardly got the ball in attack.
But... don't be expecting miracle passes, offloads or anything like that, give him the ball 5 metre's out and he'll more often than not find his way to the line.
Good luck this year, seems as though you've had a great start.

| Another thing is the enthusiasm and desire that Ryan has displayed when interviewed , he wants to be here at that is evident.
I am very much looking forward to watching Ryan in the P & B over the coming years.

Scored a good try v Quins, set up a couple for Riley in same match, made a great break V Cas and was held back after passing to Riley earning Wire a penalty from which we scored. Not bad for 160 minutes. You have to wonder sometimes what fans expect.

| Maybe Ryan Atkins has not had the service to shine like he can do. The right side of attack is scoring plenty through Lee Briers, however, in the first two games, the left side has mostly only seen the ball through high kicks from Lee Briers.
Perhaps Mr Myler is at fault for the 'average' performance on the left? Sack Him!!!

Do you worry about Bridge? He can often be found in a halfback/hooker role. Chris Bridge has been outstanding for us playing a role from right centre that very few could. He knows exactly when to get involved in an attack in other areas of the field and when to hold his position. An awful lot of important moments in big games have involved Chris Bridge playing a stand off role. For reference see, the semi last year, the quarter last year, this year he even scored a try from dummy half and made another break from dummy half against cas. Its exactly the role Cullen wanted Glesson to play towards the end, he never managed it as succesfully as Bridge has done imo.

| Has he passed the ball yet? his winger is in for a lean time this season. Very powerful and difficult to stop in his stride, with his size he would not be wasted in the 2nd row.

| If we talking after round 7 or 8 it might be a point worthy of discussion. Until then we need to let the lad settle in a bit. Thought he did ok on Saturday. Once the pitches start getting firmer I can see him doing well on the outside of Briers,Myler, Monas.
