| Quote Cala Millor Rhino="Cala Millor Rhino"What about someone who was there translating for the French? The touch-judge even reported and gave one of the bottles thrown on the pitch to the 4th official. It happened don't try and brush over it, try and kick those out who did it!'"
I was sat near there (and it was the North Stand even though the announcement said East) and saw two bottles being thrown into the Catalans fans. Unbelievable when we were comfortably winning the game, but we do seem to attract a few sewer dwelling inbreds amongst what is, in the vast majority, a friendly and lively group of supporters. No wonder Catalans fans were upset! My understanding was that we had a good reputation over there - I imagine thats gone now when this is fed back which is a real shame.

| I noted that Warrington supporters were applauding the arrival of Catalan fans before kick off...I also shook hands with several Catalan supporters after the game outside the ground...wished them a safe jounrey home..they passed on their good luck wishes for the final.
For every one negative story you can find at any RL match...my guess is you'll find 20+ positive, friendly stories.

| Perhaps a few idiots!!!hope it doznt spoil the relationship we have with the catalans fans and the warm welcome we have been given on each trip to france.
Most of the west stand stood to applaud jerome guissett back in to posistion after they scored their 2nd try yesterday and he returned the favour waving to the wire fans and clapping...

Agreed. I had a great sing with some Catalan fans post match and they wished us luck. Said they loved playing the Wire.
Sorry to the chap who got the 'missiles' chucked at him. Same happened amongst the Warrington crowd at Wigan. Fancy wasting a perfectly good pint? And amongst your own kin too. Me being me I marched up to the testosterone teenager and told him to chuck his pint down his throat not my pony tail. Bless him - he looked about 12. Guess you find that everywhere, he will be out of nappies soon.

While that is more than likely very true, it doesn't matter as one negative story will massively outweigh anything else.
I'm amazed that some Wire 'fans' took it upon themselves to chuck beer etc at the travelling French contingent.
Pathetic.

| We talked to a group of Catalans fans in The Looking Glass in the morning and shook hands. Saw the same group after the game and they again shook hands and wished us luck for the final. You just don't get that in football.
There are enough of us decent fans to keep the idiots out.

| Im gutted to hear what happened with regards the beer bottle incident, i had nothing but admoration for them we looked over from the east stand and it looked as if they had all stayed right to the final whistle. On leaving the stadium made a point of clapping and shaking hands of the Cat fans.
I do except that beer gets spilt during a game, i have been plattered with it on many occasion. In the Fletch end, South stand and at Wembley last year. Wouldnt like to think fans are throwing it deliberately over people more a try being scored and the excitement that follows.
I noticed at the end of the Saints Leeds game on saturday not sure if anyone noticed but leeds fans were celebrating a try and you could see the beer flowing freely through the air it happens. I really dont understand why people still get upset about it.
However, deliberately aiming and throwing it at anyone is nothing short of cowardice and if i noticed it would report them

| Myself and my kids were sat near the front in the north stand yesterday but my mother and her friend were sat at the back behind the Catalan fans. She saw the beer being thrown and also a hat being took off a catalan fans head and thrown to the front. What a bad way to behave. The same group of Catalan fans gave my sons flags and t-shirts at the end of the game to their delight. Having said all this I to had some idiots behind me and the kids who I had a word with to no avail.

| The hat thing was what set it off. Worse of all it was some 30 something bloke doing that to a girl there with her parents, that's bloody intimidating in any language.
The guy was thrown out, but then the bottles etc started to get thrown and a general atmosphere of intimidation got going. Now, I don't pretend the Catalans fans didn't respond, but basically, it was a load of 20 or 30 something male Warrington fans confronting a Catalans groups which was mainly families and quite a few older couples, it wasn't as if les Catalans brought over some all male hooligan group. The pair next to us actually left as a result.
Clearly those fans involved were frustrated at only beiong 30 points ahead - which was when it started
Having said all that, the lady in front of us from Warrington apologized for their behaviour.

| It's a certain sort of "fan".
I get annoyed when the so-called boozed up teenagers get blamed when more often than not it's a bunch of head the balls reliving their youth (or pretenning they were some sort of hooligan in the 70s). Complete idiots.
