I believe the official stance was that Warrington had told the RFL that there "preferred day" (something which ever club submits) was Sunday. From there, its down to the super-fixture-computer, the local police authority, SKY and the RFL....................... in that order !

Prefer Friday and Saturday matches anyway. Great way to start the weekend, can have a drinkie poos without worrying about driving the next day and Sunday games never seem to have any atmosphere about them these days.

I always think that the Friday (now Thursday too) games should be with the local teams, it winds me up but it makes more sense and the longer distance games London, Hull X2 and Catalan should be Saturday games giving the majority of people the option to stay overnight. The middle distance games should be a Sunday, the likes of Leeds and the Calder teams.

Ticket office and WolfWare open from 12pm. Turnstiles open at 1.30pm with cash accepted in the South West corner, tickets required for seated areas.

Same here, I grow weary of Sunday games. I'm not a fan of Thursday games either, but if I had to make a choice between the two, I'd go for Thursdays.

I was up at half six this morning is I have just been sat about watching the clock waiting till it is time to get the bus at 1130. It just feels like the morning has gone to waste. Afterwards there will be time for one drink then it's back home to get ready for work the next day. I love Saturday late afternoon games, but they are a rare breed these days.

I don't have any pre-match ritual before the game, I just go and meet people in the ground. I prefer games under the floodlights, plus if it's a Thursday/Friday night, then you have the rest of the weekend to chill out.

The only reason Thursday, Friday games are the best atmosphere are because they are the games against Wigan, St Helens, Leeds etc....This afternoon will be a good atmosphere if it's as close as I expect it to be and the Wire fans don't spend the whole time moaning about Atkins, not having Briers, Myler not being up to it, the moon not being made of cheese and the lack of advertising for the match around town.
