however, didn't we requested that Salford play us a day earlier, to which they duly obliged? If so we have a scenario!

3 key players are suspended, which is there own fault. Although the article does say its 4 ? And Kevin Locke is listed twice as being injured (unless they have 2 players by the same name that are both injured ?)



Hulls response will be interesting. Whichever way this goes it will set a precedent for future postponements.

Erm....youth development?

A lot of teams turn out weakened sides for one reason or another as and when it suits, as pointed out earlier Wakefield have being doing it tough for a few weeks now and have just got on with it, I sympathise with Salford but can't see Hull agreeing.

Tell em get stuffed. There is Clearly an issue with the way their being coached and played. All these players have not picked injuries up without playing injured. Give the youth a chance. Just shows throwing money at something doesn't mean it will work

I was interested to see how we'd cope with 12 injuries (I'm not counting the three suspensions, that's their fault), so at random I picked out these twelve to be injured:

R Evans, Atkins, Monaghan, Myler, Clark, Sims, Currie, England, Penny, Philbin, G King, Patton (I realise that Wheeler would be definitely be on this list if it was for real but nevermind).



That still leaves us with a team of:

We're two short but I'm sure we've got a couple of lads in the academy ready to step up for a game or two, and I'd give that side a chance over most teams in the league.

The cynical part of me is wondering if we can benefit from this? G. King and Philbin could both do with minutes at the top level. Penny, O'Brien and Wheeler have been there and know what it's about, but are not being picked for form reasons. Could we lend them these two for a few weeks. Get them battle hardened, some good experience.



Then even lower in my mind, i have the 'let them struggle' mindset.

Well Wigan have already loaned Salford two players, so yes, why not let them have our two youngsters ? Mind you, Crusaders might not be too happy to lose Philbin and King.

What about Catalan away in the play-offs a few years back when we took a real beating. Didn't we have 10 or 11 first team players missing ? No one at Warrington hid behind injuries & tried to get the game postponed.
