Just got back from the pub after watching what I thought was a fairly mediocre Saints Leeds game.



Leeds won much more comfortably than the scoreline suggests and were pretty pedestrian themselves. At least they have the consolation that history confirms when it counts they tend to turn up. Saints, in comparison, look like a very, very average team and they have a lot to think about ahead of next Friday.



At the start of the season I questioned why so many people were predicting good things for Saints and Nathan Brown this year, and I'm still wondering. They already look like a team who don't know their best 17, have little gameplan, no kicking game and no spark. Injuries have hit them admittedly, but then they've hit us as well.



..... and yes, having endured every crushing moment of Saints dominance against us I'm loving every flaming second of it.

I just hope they go to Wilkin next week for the boot after the 3rd or 4th tackle (forwards not powerful enough to drive 5 times) he has to be the worst kicker in the game. It went balls up from them from the start.

Jordan Turner and Ade Garner defending that high kick against an injured Ryan Hall was highlight for me with Leuliai scoring from it. Joel Monaghan would have a field day with that defence.

I don't think I will ever be confident going into a game against them!

Average is probably too kind a word for us at the moment. A side devoid of team spirit, desire and leadership.



I don't remember ever seeing a more feeble Saints side than this one. But it says a lot about the quality of SL that we'd probably be in the top 2 sides in SL if we signed a quality half back.

Thread title is quite apt really. We have been average at home since we moved into LP. Different team away from LP, strangely.

I'm not sure you would saddened. Are your telling me that with a quality half back lafrachie (sp) would be able to keep hold of the ball and that you would have beaten Huddersfield, in your first game? You only just beat Widnes! On watching you twice this year you seem to have no end of set tactic. Wilkin should never be allowed to kick a ball ever again as he is too costly in his meters lost from them. Meli looks like a rabbit caught in the headlights of a car when he gets the ball. Gardner played strong as did Percival "the new hero of Landfill Park". Well until next week when you get your claws into him.

Saints have not won a trophy since they had Scully, KC and Long in their squad.

Not an unique situation, bizzarely.
