I am surprised this has come as news to anyone. Harrison said this on taking up post in 2002. He wanted to change everything at the club from the retail and backroom onwards.



Parish has to realise that RL is a minority sport in england and even more so in Salford. The changes he wants are a long term project and we can't honestly expect John and Howard to fund this club to the degree Parish wants. We need a real money man like Moran for that.



I wish Matt the best as he could be the cataylist we need to push on. We need to encourage young players that Salford is a club they can trust their future to, and maybe airing all this in the public domain isn't the best way.

And there lies the problem - almost 10 years later the same problems, issues and deficiencies are still around. Look, I'm fully aware we don't have the cash, but too many people are happy for things to carry on year after year the same way.



Surely with the money we do have we should be able to put better structures in place for the club to grow. If were not in a position to make wholesale changes then lets make small ones! New ideas are needed at the top, we have the same people running the club in the same way year on year - it needs refreshing and an injection of new ideas.

I agree we need to make the changes, lets look where the money will have the greatest impact. Somethings won't cost anymore.



Lets get some decent marketing staff, that don't alienate the hard core fans.

AS MP says in the press today the fact that we have a new stadium doesn't rectify all the issues surrounding the club, sure it will be a nice envirmonment to watch the games but without change it might as well be called the White Elephant stadium.

Disagree I think what MP has said is like a breath of fresh air, way better than accepting a 4 1/2 year deal and putting your feet up whilst the club (and it's fans) go backwards.



The one constant in Salford's failures and has been mentioned on this thread is the Tarry tenure.

Move Mr Patels over priced corner shop into Morrisons and charge the same prices and there is no change other than the venue where your getting fleeced. Any fool can see that a new stadium with a poorly run RL team in it is only ever going to tread water or deteriorate.

It's only a wholesale change if the club are ready for the move. If we carry on the way the club is currently being run at the new stadium we are unlikely to progress.



In regards to the 'sack everyone' comment, I would prefer it if changes weren't needed. However if the new coach is miffed after only being here a month, what does that say about the way certain things are being run? As others have said, maybe we can only afford to make small changes, and need to target areas that need the most improvement, but even that would be better than nothing.
