Firstly I think you'll find we were invited back by your own JW because it seems we will be very helpful to your under 21 team when we get the agecroft site up and running.



Secondly whilst we may have not contributed any business rates(that's what companies pay) to the "city" neither have we had vast loans of them just to keep operational and nor have we had to go cap in hand to fund a stadium.



So it seems it's the Pinks who have really been the ones using the "cap".!!

I think we have more than earned the right for some support after 132 years IN SALFORD. It's a no brainer for the council considering what the club contributes to the local community in our city. (Including lots of community work in 2 of Salford's 20 wards, Swinton North & South). And lets not forget the buisness and employment the club has generated over the years and will continue to generate for our city.



It's a fact of life Marshy you have to put the work in to get something back. You don't get anything for free. Loyalty should never be undervalued.

I like this 'Pinks' thing the Swinton fans come up with. It's a really clever insult because, if you imagine you're still at infant school, pink is such a [igiiirrrrly[/i colour.

The kids would have to be colour blind were Salford Reds and our team colours are red! On the other hand the girls might like it?

The Pinks evolved from the council shirt sponsorship insisting their council colour of magenta was on the away shirt.
