Maybe with the tannoy announcments there was some form of testing going on or the stadium people were aware that they were maybe being observed?.

Have a guess who is going to suffer if people who get frisked don't come back. We've got to stop separating club/stadium issues - they are one and the same in terms of outcome and perception.

It seemed a bit random too. A couple of people in front of me were frisked; I wasn't.

They can't search everybody, it's not feasible, hence why it's done randomly.



It's probably a reaction to a couple of n0bheads who've throw things from the standing area. Probably the same idiots who used to do it at the Willows. It only takes one idiot to hit a ref or an opposition player with an object and the SMC/club will get the book thrown at them (fines/parts of the stadium closed etc).

Exactly and they want to keep it that way. Imagine if it was an unopened bottle or can, it would've travelled at a faster velocity and could do some damage. That's why you're now frisked, to minimise some chebend lobbing something much worse.

Yes. I know I'm repeating myself constantly on this one, but they are a bloody dreadful company. Look at the reputation the stewarding at Lancashire CCC now has - regarded as the worst on the county circuit. The company? G4S.



As for it preventing people bringing bottles/cans in and so on... Well, if the monitoring inside the stadium did its job properly then anyone opening one inside the ground would be spotted and the stewards would then be able to do something about it.



I too wasn't frisked and neither was the lad I went through the turnstiles with. There was no one else queuing up to get in at the time, which means they couldn't be leaving us due to time saving issues, so I'm not entirely sure what their protocol is for deciding who get searched?
