I see the quality of Skunk around Salford must be first class reading some people's ideas of who they think is coming in for next season. Not just on here I may add, but on FB and Twitter as well.



The amount of players we want to sign is based on having a deep squad. Not all those players will be world-beaters for the simple fact of cap, Availability of said players, and reality. Most will be squad players with, I suspect, the quality signings forming the spine.



I think we should put our plonkers down for a minute. Wipe off the pre-vinegar excitement, and think a little before reeling-off our fantasy team lists.

I'd like to add I was being sarcastic in my above post, just making light of all the halfbacks we've been linked with!

We'll be waiting a long time to see mate as it isn't going to happen. It would be the single biggest signing by a British club since before Super League. We're all giddy about the potential players coming in but we need to cool our jets slightly I think.

Koukash says in this mornings M.E.N that we'll be spending the full 1.8 million cap or maybe more under special circumstances from the RFL plenty won't like that.

Just one point of note: Salford spent up to the cap in 2011, shelling out £400,000 more on player salaries than their usual budget previously.

Two counter points:



1) I very much doubt, or believe, we were at full cap in 2011.



2) McRae was still in charge. I hate what that man did to our club!!!!!



Lets be honest we all know that money could have been much better spent, especially since Nero's salary is well over the top.
