I have been informed by someone inside the club that Simms will be gone and that the club is not being taken over but there is investment from three parties.My guess is that all the debts that have been accrued over time will have to be sorted before any announcements and we can start afresh.these investors will want to make sure their money is being spent wisely and not going to pay off debts

I suggest if we have new investors they better get a move on? No players, no season tickets & if we are not careful very little support.

All this talk of investment, can you seriously see any third party putting money in without anything in return. The best you can hope for is your club folds in it's present form and reforms debt free. Yes there would be a points deduction but with the precident set by Bradford your place in Super douper league will be retained.

Then the new companies owners can possibly take your club forward. In it's present form it is a dead duck.

I can't see Salford ever getting the same treatment that Bradford got with their financial troubles. Bradford are, well, Bradford - the name says it all. Should anything happen with the likes of Salford or Castelford say, then I wouldn't bet against us being kicked out of SL.

Great to see all players Total Fitness membership passes haven't been renewed! Even better to see the players didn't have a clue until they tried to use them! Very professional!

The gym facilities at the stadium are great, all be it the lack of swimming pool and sauna, the problem is they expect not to pay for the players memberships, which at worst is £20.00 per month and I am sure they would get discount from that.

Think the players will be using the on site facilities which makes much better sense if you think about it. I'm a member and it's reasonably quiet during the day and apart from the swimming pool there are much better facilities.

You'd hope that next season the club don't waste money on using the pitch at Leigh to train on and full use of the pitches @ Barton.

Wasn't there some reason why we couldn't use Barton? I.e. groundstaff not wanting to over-use the main pitch and the training pitches either not fitting the need of the club or being kept free for people to book?

And the club didn't bother to inform the players of this because?

I know Huntey said that they are not free to use. If he wants to train the scholarship lads on the community pitches he has to hire the pitch. Maybe the hire charges at LSV are more reasonable than Barton.

I wouldn't know but you always seem to have all the answers so I thought you'd enlighten us.
