| The away fans issue is easily solved - if you get a rush of registrations from West Yorkshire, say the week before Leeds play at the Willows, just send tickets for the game after that! Simple!!

And the penny drops!
It's quite clear from the offer that you don't choose the game you want to attend for free so the comments about whether you'd want to watch the Crusaders game or not are irrelevant, and away fans are welcome to attend games between us and anyone else other than their own team for free, as they wouldn't have been there otherwise.
Excellent idea from the club and doesn't have any real negatives either.

| The only concern I have is if the Willows and the current negative atmosphere around the place is enough to put potential new fans off? First impressions and all that. Can you imagine say a family of potential new supporters being at the Saints game the other week with the majority of the fans swearing outloud at the head coach? Another issue is the ladies toilets or should I say lack of and the cue's you see which usually means a half time p means they miss a chunk of the second half.
I understand the club have got to do something and have to get some momentum building but would this kind of scheme not work much better when we move to the new stadium? I'm not trying to be negative I'm just concerned people will come and go away with a negative impression rather than a positive one.

| I'm not sure I buy that argument, football clubs do ok, Old Trafford appears to be full every week with 70,000 people and some of the language in a number of songs is pretty choice, I know Utd and all top football teams are a different kettle of fish but look at the Southstand at Leeds, The popular stands at Saints, Warrington & Hull KR, always full and often full of colourful language. I think society gets a little too prudish about things like that and don't get me wrong there are a few things that should never be said at a public event like "Oh I can't wait 'til McRae's back in charge" ; I maybe wrong and in the minority but I and a generation grew up with much, much worse than we get these days (including racist chants) and bouts of violence and it never put me or most of the Junior Devils generation off.

I think there is a difference between singing traditional songs about the opposition and verbally abusing your own coach in large numbers. Any potential new supporters would pick up that the clubs own fans aren't happy here. It's like starting a new job and realising very quickly that most of the staff hate working for the company. You would be asking yourself if you had made the right choice.

I became a regular supporter at Bolton Wanderers around the Phil Neal era which included Wanderers' only ever stint in the bottom tier of league football (the old Division 4) and the atmosphere at times was fuelled by agression and abuse of the manager, the team, the board of directors and the club. I suspect the first chant I joined in with on a regular basis was against the manager/club/directors but I'm still a regular up at the Reebok now?!
I'd rather have new fans experience the Shed venting against McRae than nodding off as it was for the majority of last season.

| As for the ladies toilets. You can always go in the club and use the toilets there. No need to queue at the ones outside.

Have you seen Hull FC this season, their crowds aren't too bad Oh and as a Liverpool fan, believe me coaches get abused everywhere.

Liverpool crowds dropped under Hodgson and lets face it Liverpool are a well supported club who don't need to put too much effort into attracting new support. As soon as Dalglish took charge they flooded back!
As for Hull they were 1300 down in their last game against Crusaders compared to the corresponding fixture in 2010.
But my argument isn't about crowd levels it's about first impressions of potential new supporters. Let's just agree to disagree on this one.

How stupid are the Reds management....Reds fand can get in to a Swinton game for a fiver, why didn't the Reds do a reciprical arrangement and let the Lions fans in for the same.I would come down on a non Swinton match day to see my mate Phil, but i ain't paying full whack for it.

I'd like to think it's to discourage tools like you from coming to games, one of the skills of being a Troll is being a good Troll something you have much practice off but sadley little (if any) talent for.
