I think the Club does care, it just doesn't know how to go about it in any proper way. Incompetence is the big issue here.
...ES it's 'Our' BTW.

| Quote choc="choc"I dont blame the club, whatever the enviroment the guy signed a 2 year deal and didnt want to see it through a bigger club came in and dangled bags of money in front of him and so he wanted out (cant blame him for that) but it cant be clubs fault thats sport. But as i said we only want players who want to play for this club.'"
Ask yourself why he wants out. Ask yourself what environment could possibly have been created around the club in order to make him "want out" so much. Ask yourself what's going on around the club at the moment to make so many supporters feel disillusioned. Then think again about who is to blame. If supporters don't want to be here next season, why on Earth would an extremely talented player who can get a better offer at a successful club?

If the lad had signed for Castleford or London (No disrespect) I could understand the point but he was wanted by the Superleague champions on a 3 year deal. Tell me any player playing for a bottom 4 team who would turn his nose up at the chance of playing for the champions with an extra 2 years of job security? This is just another poor excuse for certain people to have a pop at their own club, fuelled by frustration over the takeover.

| The more that these kind of players leave the club... the keener I am for the start of the new season. I like the idea of seeing a group of players working hard to achieve something when written off.

| The problem I have is that the players that seem to be nailed on to sign igf we get taken over smack of more of the same old.The more I hear about this situation the more it all seems to be about a holding position or simply a case of having a team of some sort.It doesn't seem to suggest a resurgent new start.

Good point , if there's one silver lining the squad remaining will have ridden the rough times with the fans and be deserving of our best support.
they're going to need it !
I have no doubt we'll be written off as the basement club, rightly so after this spiral of negative publicity and uncertainty a season on from the McRae- Parish farce
We've no experienced half backs or recognised Goal Kicker.
the Players let go or left were responsible for over 50 of the 110 SL tries and 47 try Assists , + the majority of breaks that got us into positions to set up these tries.
we're well into the preseason and what players Veivers may be able to add will therefore be a month behind on conditioning and on field tactics .
22 working days to Christmas and our 1st Pre season game is a little over 5 weeks away with..

| The state of this club why would anyone be daft to want to put money in. The fans just want the truth and club just want are money. They were never going to get 8,000 fans are in dreamland as the club never challenge for out. Also friday night rugby is the worst idea ever said. Also people ask for things and never get reply on email why would anyone want to invest in poorest run club in the league. I know people have paid and ordered season tickets that are concerned now to weather they will get there tickets. The club are ignorant when it comes to its supporters

| Maybe like many investors in business they see potential and can get the club on the cheap.
Lets face it, get a few key backroom staff and this club could be transformed.
In fact many fans on here could make suggestions to improve both the income and relations with the fans.
John Wilkinson and Howard Clague have done so much for the club but a time comes when we need new blood and ideas.
That time is now before this situation distroy all the passion and goodwill fans have.

| As an outsider, I fail to see how this is the clubs issue. Moon comes to Salford of his own free will, signs a 3 year contract of his own free will and then takes Salford to tribunal to get out of that contract. If I sign a 24 month contract with talktalk, then take them to court a 1/3rd of the way through for wanting to get out, I would expect to lose.
So what does he do next says he is homesick and does not come back to train. I'm sorry but that's not the sign of a professional.
Salford have done the best for the club, they have got some money in the bank for a player who was effectively looking like going on strike.
I like the comment about Leeds being closer to Sidney than Salford.
It's fine for fans to throw their hands up and say we need x,y and z, ie we need new investors, but just because you want it, it does not mean it will happen. Surely Mr Wilkinson is not wanting to lose more and more money, who does??? Does Salford have a long history of potential investors being turned down, or is it just very hard to attract them.
As a Saints fan our own Mr Mac gets grief despite him and his fellow board members bankrolling our club through our losses. I'm sure if someone else wanted to pump money into these clubs the chairmen would gladly allow it to happen as it would take a huge weight of their shoulders.

| You may as well bang your head against a brick wall with some of our fans, bewareshadows.
Your post reeks of common sense.
Shame most of the cretins who paddle the same old stuff will just ignore you.
