Salford is the city of the future.



Also look at that scouser on there complaining about the Labour government having a hard on for Manchester.

As a person with a very varied music taste, I listened to the first concert from the Media Centre on Radio 3: the programme consistently mentiond Salford per se and praised the location. The only mention of Manchester was with reference to rain!

I've also noticed a higher profile being given to the city on BBC Breakfast (even though they're not here yet). In the bacvk end of last week they were at a dentist in Salford, featured a youth football project at Albert Park, and had Chris Packham talking urban wildlife with kids in Pendleton.



Add to that the Dubstep collaboration with the Philharmonic, and the film scores stuff on the red buttom where Salford recieved numerous mentions.



Lets hope the club are able to get match/ticket information to the employees moving into Mediacity.

Arrogant southerners are really annoying. Not too fussed what they think though, the BBC coming to Salford is a great thing for the City, and can surely be a good thing for our Club too.

the dentist was testing for chlamydia, but they did put a positive spin on it, they also reported from a dentist in Bradford, the dental nurse was more interested on how she looked on the telly then the patient in the chair.

What about ITV? Thats coming here too.

Is ITV coming actually to Salford? I thought they were building on the other side of the canal, next to the war museum.

That's the new set for Coronation Street if I'm not mistaken. I think ITV are taking some of the space in MediaCiy as well though.
