The results will have to be publically available at Companies house before too long, won't they? Makes no sense to lie about the figures.
Does show how stupidly low the championship salary cap is set, though. Widnes are limited to spending less than 15% of turnover on first team wages. |

Except turnover is not necessarily an indication of the strength of a business , I could ( if I had the money ) sponsor a match at Leigh for 1 million pounds , they invoice me and I write out the cheque , then the day after I invoice them for ' management fees ' of 1 million , and they write out me a cheque , result , Leighs turnover goes up by 1 million pounds overnight

Love the way that Widnes get hammered on the VT for the performance of their first team (only 5th in the league! Shocking!), and then a decent (consequential?) financial result is published, get hammered again. Things that make you go hmmm..
