| Quote Leyther_Matt="Leyther_Matt"If you mean the game at Wire in 2001 then I think it was their biggest crowd of the season so I'm sure it was a good atmosphere in their end as well. Absolute epic game until Alfi Langer decided to turn up in the last 20 minutes
'"
Great game, Langer turned it on after an hour. Way too many fans in the Leigh end! I don't think i've ever been in a stand so packed.
Also an added mention for New Zealand v Tonga at Wilderspool in 1995. What a game.

| Personally probably 2007 National League Grand Final V Widnes @ Headingley. We packed out the South Stand. I was like a dithering wreck with nerves. Everything about us was Super League that day. I know a good atmosphere is inevitable when winning easily but we were loud from over an hour before kick off!

Don’t worry about it jonny, I come onto these boards to discuss rugby league not get bogged down in petty conversations with people who just want to spoil interesting threads like this one (I’ve just taken a look at the videos of the two games I mentioned and they brought back great memories)
Just like the annoying guy at the bar in a pub, I have no intention of getting caught up in a conversation – ignore him and he will go away... talk to him and you will never get rid of him

| Keighley vs Warrington in a Regal Trophy Quarter Final at Cougar Park. I can't remember the year.
The place was as full as I've ever seen it and we gave it an almighty go, leading for most of the game and losing to 2 late Warrington tries.

| Quote CRAIG 73="CRAIG 73"2 for me.
1997 away at Hudd when we won promotion. Only around 7000 in the ground but the atmosphere in our stand was fantastic, couldnt speak for a week after the game.
Away at saints in 2006? First time we'd won at Knowsley road since Jesus was a kid .Both teams having a drop goal contest before Paul Cooke finally puts one over with 2 mins left. Cue scenes of delerium!'"
awful day for us fartowners, not only were we well beaten and missed out on promotion ( or so we thought!) but we also had to give the kilner bank over to 4,000 hull fans! i can never hear old faithful again without thinking of that day.
for me recently, the 2 play off games at saints and wire last year were brilliant by our standards anyway, and the 2 semi finals in 09 and 06 were special.
but going back further, the night we won the 3rd division will stick with me forever as it was the end of our slumber and he worst decade any club could wish for.
oh and a certain game at keighley in 1995 was great too if only for the deafening silence of the cougar roar

| The 2003 Challenge Cup Semi Final between Leeds and St Helens at the then named McAlpine stadium. The best match I’ve ever attended no doubt. I think it was also the longest game of rugby league ever played due to the extra time.
I think someone has already mentioned the 2007 play-off semi-final at Knowsley road between Leeds and Saints. The match earlier that season between the two clubs at the same stadium was electric as well.

| Warrington v Widnes - 2004.
GB v Australia - as mentioned earlier, the JJB was rocking.
Widnes v Leeds, think it was 04 or 05, we got a bit of pasting but I remember a piece in one of the papers about how great the Widnes fans were that day.
Sadly those days are long since gone since a group of kids decided to ask Father Christmas for drums.

| The playoff game against Leeds in 2006 was a great atmosphere, especially when Briers' drop goal went over. DOn't think I've ever been anywhere as loud as when it did!
Another good one was obviously the game against Leeds at the HJ when Joey Johns played, the noise when the sides came out, when Burrow dropped the kick off and Fa'afili went over in there corner was incredible.

| Quote Orrell Lad="Orrell Lad"GB v Aus (2004?) at the JJB. Scott Hill threw a lazy pass, Senior intercepted and raced half the length of the pitch and under the posts. My God. What an atmosphere.
I was sat behind the posts in the South Stand that night, never heard crowd volume like it. Singing 'Who are ya' at the Aussies after the try, fans of every club hugging each other and dancing in the stands. Great night!'"
If only every international could be like that nowadays.... unfortunatly it won't happen untill we can compete with them again.

| Watford v Norwich City 29th april 1972 when the Canaries clinched their place in the old First Division with a 1 - 1 draw at Vicarage Road (the same day England were beaten by West Germany 1 - 3 in a Euro qualifier).
