Because the ref was biased in favour of leeds. He thought leeds would score a last second super try so didnt want to waste the glory on two point win. All refs are biased against some teams and in favour of others. Oddly it often seems to coincide with who the person stating the refs bias wanted to score.

I'm really shocked and disgusted at what happened. Leeds fans, and I know some fans of other teams, look up to Sinfield as not only a great player but a great guy outside of the game.



This is so unlike him, I assumed Dorn must have said something to Sinfield that we didn't see, but I can't see much evidence of that on replays. If this was someone like Tomkins or Bailey, there'd be calls for bans to end his season. Sinfield's clean disciplinary record will work to his advantage but he will rightly deserve a ban. As a Leeds fan I just hope it will end in time for the Challenge Cup Semi-Final! Though couldn't complain if it didn't.

I don't like Leeds and I don't particularly like Sinfield, but theres a bit of over reacting going on for me here. Stupid petulant play that has cost his team a point. Not a proper headbutt, 1-2 matches is all it deserves, but I think he'll get SOS if he makes an early guilty plea.

He can't get an EGP if they go by their own guidelines. Grade B is 'light contact', C is 'full contact' and E-F (Which are not eligible for EGP) is 'full contact in an aggressive violent manner'. It would take some serious lying to suggest that he wasn't being aggressive and the contact wasn't violent there.



I think they'll probably go for a grade C and hope no one pulls them up on their incompetency.

Whilst I'm surprised at Sinfield, that was a football headbutt not a rugby headbutt so try to keep the outrage a level below that of the sensationalist Sky clowns.



I've never seen anyone sent off for "rutting stags" in either code of Rugby. You'll see several uses of the head the same or worse at play-the-balls in any match you care to choose.

I would say that's worth a 2-3 match ban. One of the cleanest players in the game.
