This fixture will never be played in Sydney and it's stupid to suggest it ever will be.

But it would add more spice and interest for me to see more games played over there. Not sure how they feel over there mind you.

No not at all, I teleported to sydney.

The game needs to make this the ultimate showpiece of club RL and hold it two weeks after the respective GF's with a million $ purse. As it is it is a glorified friendly and why would you want to disrupt your pre season for it?

I thought last year was the perfect chance for Sydney to have a turn, the Dragons would be able pull a decent crowd if promoted correctly. On the back of a strong Australian dollar, and bumping up the rights locally to Fox or 9 it would have been a financial succes. However, the sea eagles fans do not travel out of the peninsula so there is no point hosting it in sydney in 2012.



Sydney clubs that could host the game succesfully would be:



Tigers

Dragons

Dogs

Eels



I'd also give the rights to the Broncos or Warriors should they win the comp.
