Martyn Sadler writes in today's League Express that the Championship is to this week discuss creating a representative side, which would play against England Knights and possibly a French equivalent. Any thoughts? I think it is a good idea which seems to work in Yawnion and would give the Championship some much deserved publicity. Only problem would be sorting out whether Cumbrian players would be eligible etc.

Tri Nations/World cup warm ups v Championship select would be good as well - whats the problem with Cumbrians??

I think he is referring to the fact that England have recently in the past couple of years, played a Cumbrian team.



I think it would be up to whether Cumbria want to play together as a team for these games or whether they'd be happy to be disbanded and join a Championship select team.

won't work unless its mid-season. the better championship players will all be in camp / playing for "their" country at the end of the season.
