Most clubs operate a bonus scheme based on sharing the prizemoney recieved depending on where you finish in the league. Perhaps fines based on this fund for all players in a squad where someone is found guilty of such a thing may help? Peer pressure is easily the best tool and deducting points isnt a goer as it hurts the fans.

They went to their Northern correspondant (Why not the French correspondant?) for the clubs statement on it and spent a good while discussing the recent incidents in British Rugby League. One has to wonder how long it will be before there is a Panorama special on the sport's level of depravity if someone mentions the NRL to one of the news people writing todays bulletins.



It made me really mad that on a day when Paul Gazza Gascoigne, Ricardo Fuller AND Andy Carroll all had similar press releases about them, they chose to highlight the problem with Rugby League and single it out for a discussion.

They also said it on Radio 1's news about 10 times.
