I think he is a decent ref, one of the few with balls to show red when its needed

My main gripe with Ganson is that the game becomes all about him when he refs, especially on TV. If he's not the centre of attention he contrives to break his communication set so that the camera focusses on him, or he'll give an outrageous penalty to incur the wrath of the crowd.



Shame really as he's a pretty good ref otherwise.

or perhaps it was a player who gave away the outrageous penalty and it needed giving!!
