As I have said time and time and time again (yet some people STILL do not get it), I realise that there is a hell of a lot of work for Mr Potter to do and I will give him and the side as much support as I can. However, I will not, and never have done, sit here and give fawning and false praise to someone just because it is seen as the right thing to do.



I support Bradford Bulls. Therefore I like to see them win. Therefore I wish we had better players in some positions than we have. Therefore I wish kyle Briggs was a top quality signing.



But at this stage, he most certainly is not.

False dichotomy. There are options between defending a player and writin them off as 'mince' and 'pish' and any of the other highly technical terms you use in your oh-so-forthright analysis.

Indeed there is a hell of a lot of work for Potter, I'm sure when taking on the job he knew this was the case though and as we saw with his time with Cats and Saints last year with injuries he seems to excel when the cards are stacked against him.



No one wants to argue on this site, we are all here for the same reason. The problem is when people start to write off players without justification and without first giving them a chance (which you did) then this starts a negative feeling. As you have now explained you have your reasons for questioning Briggs, which is fair enough and I partly agree, why you could have not said this in the first place rather than just referring to him as a dud is what bugged me.



Indeed we can move along, hopefully we will kick on today with a better performance against the Cats.

While I agree that Briggs may not have shown his quality yet, I hardly think 2 games (one of which ended with an injury for the lad) is enough time on which to base judgement on whether or not he'll make it as a SL player.



But your statement does seem to show that you've already made your mind up about him and won't be convinced otherwise

Imagine if Lesley Vinakolo was only given 2 games to show his worth? Crap in his 1st year, what did he do after that

In all honesty he played better today than Briggs has at stand off. Great tackle at the end as well to stop them getting into position for a DG. Hope he keeps improving please Sykesy lad!!

Defended well today did Sykes. Shame that man Herbert is failing to get us over the line when it matters though. Ample opportunity to win that game today.
