This coming from the chairman of the Christa Ackroyd fan club, I imagine if Hood has any sense he'll make the call to Leon tomorrow.

Leon is the type of player to win you a tight match. He's a game winner and has that bit of magic (or "X factor" if you've listened to Noble enough) that can get you another try. We'd be crazy to not at least enquire about his services.

After yesterday I'd be happy to sign Leon and give him the number 30 shirt.

When Leon is fit and on form, he is unplayable, he can turn a game on its head on his own, he has the x factor which we are missing.

If Pryce left Saints he wouldn't sign for hasbeens like the bulls. He'd sign for a top club like Wire.

And they could probably pay him more with their elastic salary cap.

At this stage in his career he would sign for the team that gave him the longest & most lucrative contract.

Leon is at his peak will be looking to make a step up in his career rather than a step down. That's why he'd come to Warrington rather than sign for Bradford.

I just hope we don't throw silly money at him

Weren't we assured the halfback positions would be filled? Everyone knew last year that halfback was weak. They can't have thought Herbert and Briggs were the answer to really test other SL sides.



Anyway, i was told in January we had pretty much signed Leon Pryce and it was going through in March. Dunno why march but I was excited by this so wasn't really worried about the stand off position. My source was pretty strong and he told me about MP a few weeks before it was announced. I just wonder if something did happen to change it, maybe the eastmond situation.
