We have been for 3 years. McNamara saw to that, but we don't have the backing financially that the other big guns do now and we'd better get used to it. We've had our moments of glory and the future is mediocrity and occasional bright moments

By the way, I started watching Northern in 1964 and haven't missed alot since then, but this is up there among the low points (or is it down there?) in all that time. Full time players, full time coaching staff, part time effort and commitment. Junk.

the difference is, you can lose even heavily, and it's still fine and I can go home happy, if the ladss tried, and did their best.
I did not go home happy today. |

Warrington were no more than average today....we reached a new low. Utterly disgraceful! Lets hope we can get a sugar daddy like Warrington did with Simon Moran...turned a joke of a club into a contender overnight. Now we're rapidly becoming a joke unfortunately> |

Overnight? Moran has been at the club for nearly 7 years now - even before he bought the club we were in the process of sorting ourselves out off the pitch with the new stadium etc. Our improvement has not come about overnight but is the result of steady progress over a number of years including a greater degree of professionalism both on and off the pitch including superb work from our academy which I do not doubt we will benefit from in the years to come.
A sugar daddy is not what you need - and is not the reason for our recent upturn in fortunes. It is clear (albeit from the outside looking in) that the whole club needs reorganising. |
