i find that kinda interesting, i've never been in that stand before, i don't know what dismal stadium looks like from that angle.
must say i'm a bit disapointed now.

| I enjoyed it but it was a poor game redeemed by encouraging effort I thought.
By my counting Wakey gave a penalty away defending on the fifth at least three times, and gave away possession on the first inside their own twenty at least as often. Whoever their 21 is missed every tackle he tried to make. They had enough field position to score three times? Bit disappointed that they scored more than 6 tbh.
Lots of good things though, not least the number of players who were really throwing themselves into it. Raynor and Ainscough nailed themselves into my first team today, and the whole pack had a pretty good go. Herbert was rusty but some of his attacking kicks were pretty good, and he directed things enough to give Kearney some space to run. Looking forward to there bing more options out there.
Need a bit more direction and fewer errors to stand up against Huddersfield though.
That's two home games on the trot where I've guessed the crowd to within a few hundred fwiw. I used to be consistently a thousand or so too high.

| Although he's been a bit of a bad boy in the past, its good to read about Raynor having a decent game - I've got a feeling he will be among the top try scorers this year

How do you do it? for some reason i always under estimate at warrington games, its part of the pre match interest, quid on first scorer 2 quid each on estimating the crowd.

| Did anyone go on any of the fair ground rides today?
Was that a ghost house that I saw in front of the old Trevor Foster lounge?

Odsal's fairly easy cos people go to reliable places. Away fans go to the end out of habit, home fans stand on the popular side but away from the curved end. If the further right you look towards that hut thing and the curved end is densely packed then it's a good turn out.

'" He went well for Crusaders last year despite being well past his 30th birthday. It's a shame he wasn't given a second chance by the club really because he could have been a good asset this season, although he is coming towards the end of his career and at the time it looked like the right decision to get rid.

| Another win and we're starting to show some real good stuff, although we're nowhere near the finished article just yet.
A couple of points that stood out for me today were Royston's support play and Ainscough's defensive play. Like many have said on here when we were attacking the Wakey line Royston was hovering round the ruck looking for work which was brilliant. He combined well with Lynch in collecting a number of offloads during the game. Wakefield couldn't handle Lynch today, fantastic display from our captain.
I also thought Ainscough went very well today. His work rate and commitment to giving 110% effort was good to see and he took his try well. Most importantly for me was his positional play when defending our line in the second half. He fielded most of the high kicks put on him (apart from the last one on the hooter which looked a bit shady). I hope he can back this up next week against Huddersfield. I can see that most sides will target him because of his size but I think Platt backs him up well and the combination looks to be coming together nicely.
Other points worth mentioning:
Ah Van's conversion rate, he's racking up the points. Olbison fitting into the first team squad very well (Donaldson may find it hard to reclaim his place at this rate). Our backs (Raynor & Ainscough in particular) running from dummy half gained us extra yardage and gave our forwards a well deserved rest. That 20 minute spell in the second half where we could have let Wakie back in the game, we successfully managed to kill them off and guarantee the 2 points.
Final point, 12,835. Another week where the Bulls topped the highest crowd for the weekly rounds. That's the second time in 3 weeks we've done that. Great effort from our fans!
Bring on the Giants.
