Actually it wasn't
It was very poor quality game between one team who couldn't complete their many opportunities and one who clearly have a paper-thin squad that's going to get found out quickly. Huddersfield would have been punished for their wastefulness in attack against a better team, whilst Quins are clearly in a false position early season - and whilst they are better than last season, are going to suffer once they get a few injuries. Heck, they are relying on loan signings to put out a 17.
In fact, I think the quality has been quite poor all round this season. The leveling has been a 'leveling down' IMO
I'm hoping for better from Wire vs Leeds this evening

I've thought this since the move to 14 teams but have wondered if my view has been coloured by the dramatic decline in the performances of my own team over the last few years. That the RFL is sharing money between 14 teams rather than 12 also means the salary cap has to stay the same.

Yes it was. I cannot remember a worse SL game than yours. I didn't once flick between channels last night. Though I did pop out to stir the curry after a try.

I do agree that Bulls and Crusaders was a shocker
But the point is that we are arguing about which of two poor games was the poorest! Hardly inspires confidence in the product when we are reduced to that level....

Agree with all of that. There was little to choose between them to be honest; a errorthon all round (as Sean McRae might have said, had he been there). Ours though had a contender for 'try of the season' as Eddie called it, though admittedly it didn't even get try of the month, as the winger chosen to adjudicate chose a workaday, pick up an blaze down the touchline effort.

| All this talk of our game last week being the worst SL game they have ever seen does bemuse me a bit.
I have clear recollections of far worse games, especially early in the SL era. I remember one where Halifax (in the year they were relegated) were playing someone (not us) and it was truly dreadful. Watching Leigh was similar.
Maybe memories fade somewhat? Or it becomes the received wisdom to run down the Bulls? But I have seen worse Bulls games than last week in recent years - when a very poor Bulls came up against an only slightly less poor opposition - if I could just force myself to remember them when I have spent the last couple of years desperately trying to forget!

| Personally, poorest game of the year so far (for me) was Harlequins vs Catalans at the millennium magic.
Only game so far that has actually sent me to sleep!!
The Bulls vs Crusaders match was not spectacular, but I can't help but think the commentators on the evening exaggerated how poor the game was.

| Those who say that the Crusaders vs Bradford game last week was the worst Super League quite clearly didn't go to watch the Harlequins vs Bradford (last year) or go to the Willows in 1998.

Yeah it was dreadful. Everything that was good happened in about the first 8 minutes, the last 72 minutes were dross...

That was one dire dire game. Salford were not very good but we were terrible. The Edwards factor. The second half, we never saw our team of donkeys - they were pinned in their own half at the other end of the park for almost the whole 40 mins. 11-10 IIRC? And folk say last week's game - where we saw one of the best examples of keeping the ball alive on the last that I have ever seen - was the worst ever? Sorry but IMO that's bollox.

Well put mate and yes it did finish Salford 11-10 Bradford with the only real highlight being the Medley try from 50m out.
We were absolutely trash that Sunday afternoon with silly errors like throwing a forward pass from a penalty tap - thus giving Salford the ball inside our won half for long periods.

Don't get much better than top of the league where Quins were sitting pretty after turning the Whinos over week before.
As for the crowd, don't win owt on how many fans you have. Hope to see a few thousand of you next week!!
