That will certainly be a factor in the 1 yr deal. Other aspect is that our other quota players are all on longer deals so this gives us some scope next year if burgess and kopczak continue to improve and we have a pressing need in another position.

That said interesting that he's eligible for a Tongan passport which would get him off the overseas quota. Combined with rfl now treating any player who played in SL prior to 2008 as fed trained, irrespective of if they've since returned to Nrl, means we still could bring in another overseas player although it would have to be one who's played in SL prior to 2008.

Looks useful, if not devastating. Am pleased at least that we have signed a new prop at least. Will have to see.

This new lad's a good call for that signing because he is seen as Lynch's replacement but I think Purtell's a good call.



When you think about it I think you might be on to something. But will the ball be anywhere near Purtell for him to make any mistakes? I don't think it will. I reckon Gale will get it this year.

What a great selection of fans we have. Spending the off season deciding wich player will be the scapegoat next year for a few noisy idiots. Its a bit like playground bullying
