TBH Adey, I think what went wrong there was that he was played out on the wing where he's never looked comfortable, even during his first spell at the club. Had he exchanged positions with Halley, his season might have been different.



Ah well, we'll never know now. And we've a completely new back line for 2011. A back line that actually gives me more confidence AND has plenty of depth should any player not be making the grade.



And he's been in an open prison, which should mean he's been able to maintain a semblance of his fitness.

The Mean Machine is taking shape bring on ryan bailey to finish it off.

Forgetting his off the field issues for a minute, if he can stay fit (big probelm while at Hull) he will easily be one of the best wingers in SL.





Great strenght and close range finishing, fantasic offloading and great defence.



Struggles a bit with the high ball though.



Miles better than any of your current wingers, as a player a very good signing.

Off-field issues aside, he's one of the best finishers in SL if he receives good service. Has a nasty habit of scoring against his old club Leeds as well. That said, how old is he?



On the subject of off-field issues, isn't it just a bit hypocritical that certain posters on this thread who recently cited Ryan Bailey's 'record' as evidence of his bad character are now suddenly lauding the signings of Chev Walker (who received a longer period of time inside than Ryan) and Raynor (IIRC convicted twice)?

Of the wingers I have seen available for next year (quota spots taken into account) he's probably about the best we could do or certainly up there. On a 1 year deal it is difficult to be too critical another unless another couple of SL clubs tie up better wingers for 2011 which seems unlikely unless something unexpected happens.

There's been nothing to suggest that's the end either. I don't know why people are panicking about the lack of halfback signings. If we haven't signed any when all the recruitment is over and done with, then fair enough, panic. But just because we haven't announced any yet, does not mean we haven't actually signed any.
