| Having been a Bradford supporter for over 40 years I am starting to see similar signs to that of the times under Seabourne and more recently McNamara. JK has done a fine job of stabilising the club in difficult circumstances but I feel he has maybe taken us as far as he can. The fans are going to start voting with their feet (not me I may add as I believe as a supporter you support through thick and thin) and unless the board make some changes soon it could be very damaging financially. This team has far too much talent to be playing one up boring rugby - five drives and a kick to Gill’s side. It’s just far too boring and predictable and easy for opposition teams. The best sides play a simple structure which is safety in the red zone but once you are out of that then fast, expansive rugby is the way to both entertain and also frighten the life out of the opposition. For the first time in a long time we have some serious pace in the likes of Millar, Hall, MDJ but we are not using them wisely. We are trying to be battering rams and that’s so much easier to defend against. Offloads etc….can’t remember one offload in the past three or four games from us. There is nothing more knackering as a defender than running back to the ref, turning round and seeing the opposition have offloaded and you need to get back up there. The moment they went down to 12 men that should have been the plan on a dry pitch…throwing the ball about, offloading and playing expansive. In fact that should be the way we play every week other than if it’s horrendous weather. Only then should an up the jumper, win it down the middle approach be taken.

| Just watch JKs press interview from last night and I don't know what to think.
He's pointing to the losses against Barrow and Halifax like the were narrow squeaks, we were dominated in both games for the majority of time. Is this what we've got in store for the rest of the year?
'Yes we were 22-0 down for 70 mins but we got it back to 22-20? Good eh?'

| Right decision. A change was needed.

| He did a stonking job steadying the ship and we should always be grateful but the last few games of last yearr and so far this season it's been unravelling rapidly.
Get your feet up John, take the telly appearance money from the BBC and enjoy a well earnt retirement.

| Well we couldn't just carry on like this so good to see a decision made.
JK was just the man we needed after the chaos of 2017 under Toovey when we needed an experienced man in charge that knew the leagues.
Now we need to appoint someone that can motivate and improve the existing squad who are capable of much better.

| Actually surprised he's gone after last night's performance (I wouldn't have been surprised if he went last week though)
Kear didn't sound like someone who thought he was on his way out.
Echo the comments above. He steadied a fast sinking ship. There were some great highs, but as with a lot of coaches who've been at a club a while, a small rot started to set in at the Widnes game at the end of last year and has carried on this year.
Big decision coming up for the board.

| I'm not sure how many were in the ground last night but it didn't look good on the telly. I think JK was past the point of winning over the supporter base due to the style of rugby that he coached and some of the results in the last year or so. The club have obviously recognised that the fans have had enough and a change was needed sooner rather than later.
It will be interesting to see who they can attract and appoint.

| As suspected, when we put out the press statement of having every faith we could turn it around, we were just following the niceties of sacking someone in sport.
Nigel "I'm sacking John tonight"
Someone "You can't do that, you need to put out the supportive statement first".

| I didn’t think that was coming…… yet.
Obviously the right time for a change, will be interesting to see the quality of applicant that we get.

| As others have said, we owe him our gratitude for coming in and steadying the ship when we were an utter shambles. But it seemed like - as with all coaches and managers - his tenure had run its course.
Massive decision coming up now and the level of the appointment will tell us plenty about the ambition of the club.
I think a younger, hungry coach who can grow with the club might be good after having an elder statesmen type for a few years.
I'd like to see Nigel Wood come out now and tell us what his plans are for the club. Are we going to be content to bumble along in the middle of the Championship? Or are we seriously looking to get back into SL? Because where we are now is a million miles off. As always it will come to down to money/investment. The millstone of Odsal is all part of that mix.
I doubt Wood will say anything but the appointment will speak volumes
What we don't want is a new coach coming in with all the platitudes and waffle about how we "deserve to be in SL", "a sleeping giant" " aiming for Super League" - but then nothing much changes apart from the name of the coach's door

| I don't see the club moving out of the Championship whilst Leigh and Fev are throwing big sums at it. We are miles away from what they can spend and we cannot keep hold of good young players to build a side longer term.
Not sure where that leaves our ambitions to be honest. Even with the return of licensing there are clubs better placed than us.
