I wouldn't expect it to be much cheaper than SL though. Not many breeze block palaces to pay for, but the basic costs of running a club are still high and crowds tend to be quite a bit lower and there are no sugar daddies.



I can't see any point in changing the game day; there have been a few opportunities for fans to make a preference and Sunday has won every time. In fact, on the last occasion the winner was Sunday at 3 o'clock and the second highest was Sunday at 6.

I don't think any club in the Championship regularly plays any other day than Sunday around 3ish do they? Friday/Saturday KOs are usually a Super League thing I've always thought.



Don't know what the deal will be with TV kick offs next year, I know Sky have got the rights to the Championship back, but reading between the lines in this week's League Express it looks like they basically aren't going to bother until the Super 8s split - as otherwise I could have seen us being on quite a bit.

Yeah, agree with the other days being an SL thing ..and largely driven by TV requirements and the desire to not have to change around too much. Those pressures just don't exist elsewhere.

Just having a quick scan around, it seems the average ground entry for Championship clubs is £15

After speaking to a friend of mine who is a fax fan it seems to range from £12 cheapest to the max of £17 @ Featherstone

we'll probably be on TV a lot more next season so I would expect a few Thursday games (or whichever night SKY has planned for them).

Going from what the RFL said in their recent Q&A article, it doesn't look like Sky are showing ANY games from the Championship, other than the weekend in Blackpool and one game per week when we get down to the 8x8x8 qualifiers.

With Sky not showing very many Championship games it make you wonder why they bothered to get the rights, are the RFL really trying to increase the exposure of the game? or just taking an easy sell to Sky
