It did cross my mind whether Waine was here because of Appo and losing him unexpectedly has unsettled him. I was expecting him to be a real handful but so far he has been pretty ineffective.
Key for this week is attitude, are the players prepared to try and win every little battle and 1% effort areas?
Even though Fev seem in a bit of a rut at the moment, to put 9 tries on them at post office road is no mean feat. Although I think Nobby will be disappointed to have conceded 4 tries.
Hopefully that will be a good confidence booster after a tough few weeks. The league is wide open this year.
After three straight defeats, we’re finally back on track with a much-needed win. We scored some great tries and, with a bit more focus and composure, could have had plenty more. That said, the amount of points we conceded is a bit of a concern, especially against a poor Featherstone side.
Still, a win’s a win, and it’s always satisfying to get one over this lot. Plenty to work on, but hopefully, this is the start of some momentum heading into the next few games.
