I don't htink Chase is the one for us, but Cas got humped by Hudds. Considering the difference in teams, its amazing that a half can do anything at all - and he didn't just turn up with 3 mins to go. I actually thought during the game that he was putting in a lot of effort to try and get things moving. Unfortunatley, that was after he'd got him self sin-binned and Hudds had stretched the lead.

Dobson or someone in the same ilk is the nessasary part of the team we are missing. If you have a Dobson, you can still look pretty effective, without a real 6.



Getting free spirit in Chase or Sammut, would improve us, but not really solve the issue for us.



We need a 7 and a 6, but 7 is the critical position.

Sammut being compared to Longy. Couldnt lace his boots, a very average scrum half & certainly nowhere near the capabilities of Dobson or the qualities of Chase, like or loathe him. We don't need a maverick who can't tackle, we are a young squad that needs direction & crying out for a kicking game. What do some ppl watch.

I would take Chase at the drop of a hat. There isn't a half back with his ability in this competition. Dobson I can take or leave because Chase is in a different league and given the choice it's an easy one for me.

If it was a question of either Chase or Dobson, I'd pick Dobson.



I like Chase, but we need an organiser atm. If we secure a good 7, then I'd agree with you. Currently, he's not what we need.

I know he's not but Dobson isn't so good as to be a better choice i.e. Chase would give us far more value overall.

I actually think Chase is more our type of player. Our halves have always been the 'maverick', play as you see it type players, so therefore I'd take Chase before Dobson.

I didn't compare him to Longy. I said he was a 'Longy style player'. There is a difference there if you care to read my post properly before mocking it.

As I said, I didn't compare Sammut to Longy. I said he was a 'Longy style player', which he is. He has that maverick quality to him and can pull off the extraordinary.
