Bailey is an odious character. This is beyond question. Anyone who does to another human being what he was sent to prison for (not to mention the various misdemeanors he's committed on a rugby pitch) deserves every brickbat tossed at him.



The thing is, for someone who likes throwing his weight about he never fails to be remarkably meek whenever the Kiwis and Australians are about. But this is classic bully behavior. Picking your battles and running when the big dogs are in town.

Sour grapes from Wilkin,he should be more embarrassed about his vanishing act on the field at Old Trafford.

You a Leeds fan? If so then you insult your own team. Leeds marked Wilkin Roby and Lomax very well. Until the second half anyway.



As for what Wilkin said, I think he was spot on to say it. For those just chirping in without first reading what he said, Wilkin was very clearly stating his respect for 16 of the Leeds players but pointing out how Bailey 'fronted up' to the young guys at Saints - one of which was heartbroken at the end - and that is the sign of a childish individual who is not professional. I would agree with him 100%. He also says he risks sounding sour grapes but he was angry on behalf of the young guys not himself. For some of them it was their first time in a final.



It was interesting to note that after a bit of handbags towards the end of the match, Bailey went straight off. That would suggest that maybe his coach is not as tolerant of his behaviour as his previous coach was.



But Bailey is a coward and a first class idiot. I'm looking forward to watching the Aussies and Kiwis smash him to pieces on the field.

he gets booed because he's a prat. I think he's a superb player, would love to have him at Leeds but God is the man a prat.



With regards to Wilkin I think whether he has a point or not it has become lost because his comments merely appear to be sour grapes. He desperately needs to learn the words "no comment" and as to when is appropriate to use them. It isn't the first time Wilkin has made a fool of himself by whinging after the GF.



In summary Bailey needs to learn the art of appropriate celebration, Wilkin needs to learn the art of appropriate media comment and Sam Tomkins needs to learn the world doesn't revolve around him.

I think that just about sums it up

I don't see how Wilkins comments can come across as sour grapes, when he openly praises a number of Leeds players and even says 16 members of their squad were gracious in victory.



And although things will be interesting in the England camp, I feel that with Graham, Peacock, Morley and Carvell in the side, Bailey won't be getting too much game time and as such things won't get out of hand on the field.

That's true. But with Westwood, Ellis, Heighington and JJB in the squad Wilkin won't be getting any gametime either.

I don't see why, if Wilkin feels so strongly about it, he's had to talk about it. It serves no purpose other than to highlight his own inability to accept defeat.
