The Warehouse is quite good and the bar is right there within the restaurant. Plenty of space and plenty of noise to get you in the mood!



If you're willing to go so far as a taxi fare, if you want some gorgeous food then there is Quattros off the Rainford by-pass (near the junction of the M58, I think it is - never can remember which motorway that is as I never use it!) or there is Houghwood Golf Club, again off the by-pass but closer to St Helens. They're both quite upmarket, though (which is why I know them

) but the food is really good at both and they're both used to catering for large groups.

I always did like her!

What kind of food do they do in the warehouse ?



Is it a wetherspoons type of place or a proper sit down restaurant ?

When I went they were offering fairly standard English stuff with some Italian stuff thrown in too. It was all cooked well and the service was fine as I remember it.





There is a separate restaurant area so no, it's not like Wetherspoons. So far as I know you can't just drink in the restaurant area. There is quite a large drinking area and the two are separated by a low level wooden railing thingy. So you feel part of the pub but you're separated from it. If you want a quiet meal out then it's not the place to go as once people start coming in for a beer or two and the music gets going it's not quiet!

A few jars in The Park (formerly Hen and Chicks) and then pick up some scran at the Broad Oak Chippy just past the Cons club. Can't beat it.
