You signed Peacock from us at the same age.
Diskin still has so much to offer the game and IMO it's a massive loss to Leeds.
A sign of the times that the power once again is slowly heading towards Odsal, just like it went to Headingley in 2007.

| I like Diskin, but this is really NOT the sign that power is shifting to Odslum.
If you signed Inglis, Slater and Marshall I would still have my doubts

Comparing Diskin to Peacock or Lowes is ridiculous. It's more like when Leeds signed Paul Harkin.

it's more of a Newton signing not like lowes or peacock to Leeds but noway as bad as reardon back to Bradford
It's a good solid signing.

| Reading some of the comments I hate to say it but I dont think its a big loss to Leeds at all. It does create a hole, but a hole that can be filled by a young kid with bags of enthusiasm and determination, something I think Diskin has lost with Leeds.
Maybe i'm been naive but I think Diskin and Leeds just doesnt work anymore. What with Buderus coming into the setup, Disko lost his way a little when Buderus was fit. I hope hand on heart Diskin goes to the Bulls and rediscovers what he really has in the locker.
My overall opinion is as thus, ok we have let him go but we now have the chance to bring a youngster through. Buderus was a must keep as yes i know Diskin has done well, Buderus will be the teacher for the new upstarts in McShane and Hood and you cant look past that. Look at when we brought Connolly in to help mathers. Did wonders with him. We have to take a risk and one player doesnt and shouldnt make a team!

I wish him well and it could come back to bite us but consider this ,if he was such a massive loss to us don't you think GH would of held out for a fee rather than release him for zip?
As for power shifting to Odslum

Holding out for a fee from Canterbury Bankstown didn't do much good, did it?
Perhaps there's an agreement between Leeds & Bradford to mutually share ideas/concepts?

The OP was not the only one to have a say and wasn't entirely in my mind when I posted.
That said who else thought this was even a remote possibility at the time or even a week or so ago?

Spin from Headingley does not constitute evidence.
Can you provide any evidence from any source at Canterbury where they concede that they paid Leeds a fee for Greg Eastwood?
GH's opportunism and eagerness to ram home the point yet again that the club did receive a fee from Canterbury for Eastwood is duly noted
In the meantime, I welcome the mutual appreciation relationship/joint venture between Leeds and Canterbury, along with the beneficial swapping of concepts and ideas leading to the posssibility for some professional development opportunities for staff from both clubs.
