well id rove to shipley only to to find out 10 mins before i teed off they shut the course... i was well gutted. so i had to spend all afternoon in the regent at chapel allerton...... its a tough life

If I were you I would play match play for your first few rounds. Who ever in your group uses less strokes wins the hole, gets a point and you start afresh the next one. That way you avoid the mental anguish of getting annoyed over a bad hole, which in turn causes you to mess up another few.



If you're new at the driving range I would make sure you can hit it at least 150 yards on a reg basis then the course won't be all out tough.

I play every shot as if its the 1st, that way even bad holes clear my memory within a few minutes. Yes I get frustraited with crap shots and let it out but then its gone and I can get on with it
