You mean like all through the late 80s to late 90s when it mattered? The CC in 07 when it mattered? The playoffs in 03 when it mattered?



Wigan have had the better of Leeds 'when it mattered' throughout history.

They probably have had the better against all the RL clubs when it mattered.

of course they are. considering they were the only fully pro side for years and cherry picked the best players it would have been a shock if they hadn't dominated.

Not so hot now it is a more level playing field ....

it would be interesting to compare success of all SL clubs since the salary cap came into play

And if you exclud those clubs who have been found guilty of cheating the cap it would be easy to see who topped the table of achievment.

So they should have the accolade taken away from them because of their forward thinking?



Take away their period of FT v PT and they are still more successful than Leeds (who were pretty much full time anyway from the late 80s onwards) and the rest historically.



BTW, Leeds were also full time when Wigan beat us 70-6 and 69-12 in the playoffs.

however we can all point to good times in our history.

the salary cap has evened things up and they haven't done too well since it came in. coming close in final eliminators isn't good enough.most teams have lost in them
