McGuire comes in clumsily on a falling player, doesn't show enough care to tackle safely-10mins & 1 match, tops



McIlorum comes in 3 seconds late, off the ball, has plenty of time to pull out (doesn't even raise his arm till after Laffranchi's passed the ball), hits him clear in the face. Deliberate & avoidable extremely dangerous tackle. Red & 3 matches.

Absolutely pathetic. if we should pull off a win next week (and it's going to be very very tough) then for sweetness that will top the cup semi by a million miles!!

Slow motion makes it look dodgy but at normal speed not much doing for me. A split second earlier and it's a good rib tickler, instead he ends up around the falling head of Anderson. McIlorum's was just an assualt to the head with zero tackling technique appilied or intended and he's had to make an extra effort to reach up to the head of the Saints player. Wigan fans will complain because McGuire didn't, and probably won't, recieve the same outcome as McIlorum [size=150but that's because it was no where near to being as bad[/size. Fakir was unlucky with his head high shot on Burrow (it's a common mistake when trying to tackle him), although rode his luck with his lead with the elbow.
