Wigan finish clear at the top, lose one game and now have to win away to make the Grand Final and that's only if they win next week first.
At least in 2005 St Helens had to lose two at home to not reach the Grand Final.

it just gives teams outside the top 2 much more of a sniff, that's why they changed it. too many 1st v 2nd grand finals.
wigan surrendered home advantage for the semi (if they get there) by losing tonight.
This formatt requires the top team to have just abit more playoff metal which is a good thing. |
