If it's 4 broken vertebrae then it's a major injury. I would be surprised to see him play again this season. Doesn't seem to be much detailed information on view.

I think you need to take a second look my friend. Even Ferries himself admits as much (although he tries to pass the buck on to Gildart which the disciplinary panel rightly rubbished!) The attempt to hurt was quite clear and intentional. I won't go so far as to say the intention was to injure however he must have realised that he was, at best, running the risk. Given the outcome, I can't really imagine a worse example of a crusher. He should have received the maximum ban for this offence.
