Will be interesting to see if Widnes make a bid for him. The seemed to think highly of him at his time there but obviously the Hetherington connection to Wakey now would make that the favourite.



However a player has to agree to the move and who would you choose going into 2014. Widnes might not be doing anything special but are slowly progressing forwards, whereas Wakey look like having a terrible 2014.

McShane may be in GHs plans but I doubt is he is McDermotts. McDermott has to squeeze McGuire, Burrow, Sinfield, Sutcliffe and Ward into next year's 13 and that spells no chance for McShane not matter how well he plays.

Even if he didn't have to squeeze those players in I don't think the McShane/McDermott relationship would be great. Just doesn't seem to fit for McDermott's liking or view.

Burrow survives as replacing both him and McGuire is too much too soon.
