It such a British thing to do, to hate success when you're not part of it. To support and empathise with the underdog, to envy others achievements and let it manifest itself in hatred. Everyone is saying 'I so hope Hudds do it this year, it would be great'. I don't suppose you'd find a neutral saying 'My god I hope Leeds do it for a fourth year in a row, that would be amazing'.
Truth is it would be amazing if we did it for a fourth year in a row, Bring it on!
I'm just spouting complete rubbish now - just avoiding doing work.

It's just the british mentality. We hate success over here. You go to america and they can't get enough of it, they love success. That's life in general not specifically sport. |
