I quite agree. To be honest, if he can get a 2 or 3 year deal somewhere else it might be best all round. Can he keep playing at a title-challenging level for 3 more years? i doubt it. Can he keep playing at mid-table level and help some youngsters develop? Probably. I can see why he wants a longer deal, and I can see why the club don't want to offer him one. Despite the chortling of some fans on here, you can't fault the guy's record in domestic RL, and I'm sure a club like Celtic, Salford, Halifax or Bradford would get great value out of him. |

Exactly, I would hate to see him playing for another team but I can fully understand why he is looking at his options and wish him luck with whatever decision he makes - he has been a fantastic player for Saints there is no disputing that. |
